Discovering HK

It was my second time to visit Hong Kong, but it was my first time to travel with friends and on a DIY arrangement. With vast information available on the internet on how to get to places, planning the trip itinerary was not an arduous task.
Welcome to HK!

Walks of Life, taken at Tsim Sha Tui where different shops and stores offered various products from food, clothes, jewelry, medicines to gadgets. I started clicking once we got out on the street.
Day 1, was for Ocean Park and Victoria Peak. The typhoon that struck the Philippines followed us to HK! It was drizzling and a bit windy on our way to Ocean Park. HK's typhoon signal meanings http://www.weather.gov.hk/contente.htm
Because of the windy weather some of the rides at the park were not available but it was good that they allowed us to ride the cablecars.
And of course Po was there.. inner peace..
Tried out panning and got lucky with this shot of their red taxi.
HK Skyline viewed from Victoria Peak. Perfect sight to end a wonderful day in the city.
Day2 was for Disneyland and Tian Tan (Big Buddha). Going around was quite easy because of their efficient MTR. We used their octopus card to avail of unlimited mtr, bus, ferry rides. Maps were also available everywhere, making the city tourist friendly. You just have to have a good sense of direction and some navigation skills. Lucky me, my companions were good at it. This was our first DIY trip, and we only got lost once. Not bad right?

The Big Buddha (Tian Tan) sits atop the Ngong Ping plateau which we reached by cable car then climbed some 260 steps.
Dubbed as the "Happiest Place on Earth", Disneyland surely made us happy and brought out the kid in us.
Hong Kong has a lot to offer its visitors - attractions, food, shopping, culture, architecture and landscapes. A quick stay in the city would not be enough to discover them all. This leaves us with more to discover the next time we'll set foot on this beautiful land.
